About Eastern Shore Visitor

Greetings from the Eastern Shore. This is my humble effort to create one decent travel guide to the entire Eastern Shore ... both Maryland and Virginia. I hope it's useful and entertaining. My goal is simply to provide truthful and straight forward information for Eastern Shore residents and visitors.

I live on the Eastern Shore ... in the little waterfront town of Onancock, Virginia. It's historic, walkable, attractive and fun. What's not to like?

My other travel websites include one about Norfolk Virginia, which is across the Chesapeake Bay from the Eastern Shore. This historic city has a vibrant waterfront, museums, a botanical garden, and plenty of nightlife. Norfolk is also the proud host of a huge US Naval base.

The Virginia Beach Oceanfront is just south of the Eastern Shore, on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. It's a large resort city with many attractions. Virginia Beach is the northernmost of the southern-style beaches.
